Thanks for telling us about the problem. The criticism of this book is typical that Bach is a one dimensional author and “Bridge” is simply foreve Livingston Seagull” if replaced learning about flight with learning how to love and the bird with a human who is kind of a jackass. Read it even if you don’t like love stories – if nothing else you get to be a voyeur to a facinating love relationship between 2 adults, that isn’t mushy or cheesy.

Very real for a very fake book. I liked the storytelling and the heartfelt words nicely written. They had that experience, and I have not, but then again I have not been trying. Does anyone write such stories?

When your partner whom is everything you look for in a partner recommends you read a book particularly a love story, I thinkyou should read it.

I read thus book in grad school in the late 80s. This site does not store any files on its server. The pilot, Bach, visited several places and found new and new women everywhere. I like a good love story, but the gooey and self-indulgent way this one is written could even appall Mister Rogers enough to ralph on his own cardigan sweater.

Still, I decided to aross the book that came before it when the author actually meets his ‘soulmate’ who he later divorced in real life – ha ha – and I find th I remember reading ‘One’ when I was a teenager and liking it because it was the first time I was introduced to the idea of a brdge and to the concept of parallel universes. More by Richard Bach. Years later, some of these fans were devastated to discover that this match made in heaven didn’t manage to stick the couple are no longer together.

What a beautiful and inspiring lovestory! Post the divorce, the author did put up a short story on his website. It doesn’t paint love as a ‘happily ever after’ concept. Each lets go of something that they thought they needed in a perfect soulmate, each gets something unexpected in return.

Throughout the book, Richard few times kinda pissed me off, but when I thought about it more, He reminded me myself, and also some behavioral patterns that I know very Well from my life experiences, so I kept beining patient. Their love affair and happy ending inspired many enthusiastic fans. Lesson learned – when revenge is your primary motivator, things tend to backfire. If Richard and Leslie claim teh have out-of-body experiences with each other, have dreams that connect them to their past and future selves, may I be the last in line to denounce them. One of my favorite passages occurs when the writer, Bach, travels to the future and sees his now finished book shelved, and tries to read the title. The women hopefully, will take note!
